In March 2024, longtime friends and employees Lauren Gaffney and Alina Hornfeldt became the new owners of Mastel’s Health Foods. With over 55 years of trusted service, they’re carrying on the store’s legacy while bringing fresh energy to Minnesota’s natural products scene.
“We have really, really high-quality eggs,” co-owner Laruen Gaffney said recently before showing an empty space in a refrigerated case intended to hold egg cartons.
